A Turn-of-the-Century Apartment with Warm Open-Plan Spaces
Today, we’re going to tour this well-planned two-room apartment, which can be found on the top floor of a stately turn-of-the-century building in Stockholm. The apartment features a spacious open plan living room and kitchen with warm wooden floors and three large windows that flood the space with natural light.
The 70 square meter apartment has a beautifully designed kitchen with warm wooden cabinets and a window seat. Additionally, there is one bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a balcony with rooftop views.

The wall between the living room and kitchen has been removed to create one big open-plan living space with warm wooden floorboards and beige walls.
The three large windows in a row create a light atmosphere in the historic apartment.
There is not much color in the apartment, but the sitting area is defined by a large green rug which is paired with a wooden coffee table and a green armchair. A natural color accent like this seems appropriate in this neutral apartment.
The corner cabinet with closed cabinets at the bottom and shelves above is a nice design feature in the room.
The window seat in the kitchen offers views of the historic street in the popular Södermalm area of Stockholm.
The kitchen has a smart design, with floor-to-ceiling cabinets behind the wall, so they’re not very visible from the living room. The area that’s in full view only has lower cabinets to keep it calm and minimalistic.
The apartment has a spacious bedroom facing the courtyard. The room is painted in a calm gray-green hue paired with gray curtains and wardrobes. Warm accents come from the wooden floorboards and brown accessories.
Adjacent to the bedroom lies a spacious balcony overlooking the courtyard and rooftops.
The tiled fireplace in the corner of the room shows the historic of the apartment.
There isn’t much color in the apartment, but in the hallway, they also added a green color pop by painting the ceiling.
The apartment was listed for sale at Sjöman Partners.
