Vintage Decor In A Seaside Summer House
The summer has officially started so why not take a look at a lovely summer house? This summer house is located in Grislehamn, north of Stockholm, and has amazing views over the sea.
The home belongs to artist Johan Ferner Ström en de PR-advisor Mia Bolin. But it has always been in the family. The summer house used to belong to Johan’s mother who threw big parties here.
When Johan and Mia inherited the house it was in bad shape. But they have lovingly restored the summer house. Now it’s the perfect spot to spend their weekends and summer holidays.
Black floor are combined with colorful Kelim rugs found in Turkey. The sofa’s are vintage IKEA.
The hallway with bookshelves on both side. The banana sculpture is made by Johan. The colorful runner adds a little color to the space.
The kitchen is simply lovely. with black floors and vintage chairs. Above the dining table are 4 frames with parchment with monk’s script dating from the 16th century.
The bedroom is decorated in light colors with one exception. The retro floor carpet they kept from the orignal house owned by Johan’s mother.
What’s a summer house without a hammock? The terrace around the house has several seating spots so you can enjoy the sunshine every time of the day.
And to make it even better, it has seaside views. Simply lovely!
