A Warm Color Palette in a Cozy 1920s Apartment in Stockholm
On the first floor of a 1920s building in Stockholm lies this beautiful two-bedroom apartment with original elements and a warm color scheme. The 84 square meter apartment perfectly pairs elegance, coziness, modern functionality, and period features, creating a warm and inviting home.
1920s elements like high baseboards, original parquet flooring, stucco, and windows give the home character, while the color palette of terracotta, pink, and blue shades adds warmth and a calming atmosphere.

The kitchen is the heart of the home, with a large wooden dining table in the center that becomes the social hub of the apartment.

The kitchen design pairs classic gray cabinets with a marble countertop and backsplash, and wooden shelves above the worktop and on the other side of the room for glassware and porcelain.

High cabinets along one wall hide the appliances and add more storage space.

Double glass doors between the living room and the kitchen create an open, social layout while still being able to create private rooms.

The sitting room is a cozy space with a large window facing the communal courtyard.

The blue-gray painted walls make the original elements, like the high baseboards, stucco, and deep window niches, stand out beautifully.

From the south-facing window facing the garden, you can see the seasons change.

A spacious hall in the center of the apartment connects all the rooms. The walls are painted in a light terracotta shade, and the room is fitted with wardrobes, a bench, a hat shelf, and smart storage baskets.

The master bedroom is painted in a soft light pink hue paired with dark blue colors in the bedding and the velvet bed.

The room is fitted with tall blue-gray wardrobes along one wall.

The smaller bedroom is now a charming children’s room with a cheerful lemon wallpaper by William Morris and a tiny built-in desk with a red stool.

The apartment has two bathrooms. The largest one features fresh white tiles and a combined tub and shower.

Judging from the layout, I presume the apartment is the result of merging two smaller ones. There is a second hall next to the living room with another bathroom and a utility room.

The apartment is listed for sale at Tradition.
