A Yellow Farmhouse with Bold Color Pops in Wales

Surrounded by 12 acres of ancient woodland and meadows, with views of the rolling hills of the Welsh countryside, stands an 18th-century farmhouse that has been carefully restored by its current owner, designer Hilton Marlton

The house was built in 1796, and many of its original features are still present. Framed by age-old woodland, you will see the striking farmhouse with an ochre yellow limewash facade. This color pop sets the tone for the spaces you’ll find indoors.

A second sitting room is created in the space that used to be the kitchen. It’s a lovely space with wide oak floorboards, limewash walls, and a wood burner that will create a cozy atmosphere.

The sheltered courtyard, with a porch veranda along three sides, is cobbled with stones from the river. The current owner designed and implemented the reorientation of the 18th-century house, which provides a wonderful indoor/outdoor space.
