Warm Color Tones in a Scandinavian Apartment
Brown tones are becoming trendier again in interior design, but when painting walls brown is a bit too much for you, you can take a look at this Scandinavian apartment where the plinths and windows sills are painted in a muted brown shade.
The 54-square-meter apartment is located in a turn-of-the-century apartment building in Stockholm. The apartment has an open-plan layout with a spacious living room and kitchen in the center and a bedroom that can be accessed from the living room.
The living room is light and warm, with beige walls, wooden floors, and brown accents. Double doors flood the room wth light and give access to a spacious balcony.
Turn of the century elements are visible in the ceiling stucco and rosette.
The modern kitchen in a social layout faces the living room via the kitchen island. A big room floods the space with light and the ceiling is painted in a lovely yellow shade that is also visible in the adjacent hallway.
The apartment doesn’t have a closed hallway. Instead, the hall instantly opens up into the kitchen, providing a more spacious feeling.
The bedroom can be accessed via the living room. The room can be closed off with a brown painted pocket door but you can leave it open for an open feeling.
The bedroom is painted in a terracotta orange shade, adding such warmth to the room. On the left is a door leading to a walk-in closet so the bedroom can be decorated lightly.
The bathroom features beautiful glossy green tiles in the shower and a marble checkerboard floor.
The apartment isn’t very big, but the hallway offers plenty of storage space thanks to floor-to-ceiling wardrobes painted in a lovely light yellow shade which is also added to the ceiling.
