A Yellow and Green Color Palette in a Modern Swedish Apartment
This two-bedroom apartment lies on the third floor of a 1930s apartment building in the center of the bustling Södermalm area of Stockholm. The entire apartment is painted in a muted yellow shade, paired with green joinery, creating a harmonious interior.
The apartment was renovated in recent years, adding a new color palette, updating the kitchen, and adding a new bathroom. It has an open-plan living space with a charming kitchen niche, flanked by two bedrooms.

The entire apartment is painted in Little Greene’s “Apple Oak”, a muted and neutral cream shade with yellow and green undertones. The joinery in the apartment is painted a muted green tone with a high gloss.

Beautiful wooden floorboards, which are sanded and matte hard wax oiled, enhance the natural look of the apartment.

The apartment has a wonderful open-plan living space in a T-shape with dedicated areas for lounging, dining, and cooking. The muted, natural color palette of the walls is paired with bolder color pops in the decorative textiles and furnishings.

The kitchen is designed in its own little niche, featuring muted green cabinet doors with Carrara marble countertops. There is a window in the wall between the kitchen and the second bedroom to ensure natural light flows into the kitchen space.

The smallest bedroom is now a children’s room with floating wall-mounted wardrobes painted in the same yellow shade as the walls.

The master bedroom lies on the other side of the apartment, facing the courtyard. It is decorated minimalistic and features the same yellow and green color palette paired with a cobalt blue accent. The bedroom has glass doors leading to the balcony.

The room has double built-in wardrobes and there is also a built-in closet in the small passageway between the bedroom and the living room.
