A Small Victorian Apartment by the Sea in Cornwall
Do you want to live by the seaside? It is certainly a wish of mine to have a house overlooking the sea; it must be very calming to hear the waves and see for miles. Today, I want to share a lovely seaside apartment with you, offering amazing views and with original features inside.
The small apartment is located in a beautiful Victorian terrace house in St. Ives, a charming former market town that later became a cultural hub for artists in Cornwall. The 422-square-foot apartment features Victorian elements like a large bay window, original pine floorboards, and high ceilings. The floorplan may be small, but with a view like this, it hardly matters.

The open-plan living space is defined by four windows – including three almost floor-to-ceiling sashes set within a large bay – that offer spectacular views and flood the room with natural light.

The apartment has pared-back interiors featuring a color scheme inspired by Barbara Hepworth’s St Ives studio. A log-burning fire sits at the center of the room, adding a warm glow to the living area.

The niche is fitted with wooden bookshelves, and the chair also adds a lovely natural touch to the space, pairing wonderfully with the pine floorboards.

The open-plan living room has a good layout, so there is space for a sitting area by the bay window, a large rustic wooden dining table with benches, and even a small desk in between the windows.

The kitchen is fresh and functional in a U-shape featuring bright white cabinets, gray zellige tiles as the backsplash, and a small breakfast bar.

From the living room, you enter the bedroom painted in a fresh white palette, embracing the northern light coming from the large window. The large mirror helps to make the room feel bigger and brighter.
The bedroom has a built-in wardrobe and you can also access the tiny bathroom from this room.

You enter the bedroom via a beautiful pine door.

The apartment is located in this row of high Victorian terrace houses. A sunny yellow front door gives access to the communal hallway.

The apartment is listed for £335,000 at Inigo.
