A Pink 1930s Studio Apartment with a Lovely Private Garden

On the ground floor of a Swedish 1930s functionalist building south of central Stockholm lies this charming pink studio apartment with a lush, small private garden overlooking Lake Mälaren.

The 34 square meter apartment feels like a little house rather than an apartment. The slanted upper cabinet is typical of Swedish functionalism. It uses the full ceiling height to maximize storage space.

The kitchen is wonderfully spacious and has room for a dining table seating four in the corner. Colorful chairs surround the lovely rustic wooden folding table.

A glass door in the kitchen opens to a little piece of paradise in the city.

From the garden, you have a lovely view of Lake Mälaren and the rest of Stockholm.

Thanks to the sloped ground, the garden is very secluded. You can hardly imagine you’re living in a big city like Stockholm.

A little pop of color has been added to the bathroom and the hall. In the bathroom, a red wet room floor has been added, and the ceiling in the hall has been painted in a brown-red shade.
