New Products for the IKEA Mävinn Collection in January 2026

In June 2023, IKEA launched the first installment of the popular and meaningful IKEA Mävinn collection, and in January 2026, the fourth product launch will hit the stores worldwide and online.

The MÄVINN collection brings together modern design and time-honored craftsmanship, celebrating handmade home décor created in collaboration with social enterprises around the world. Inspired by the atmosphere of a local craft market, the collection invites you to browse, mix and match, and discover pieces that are as meaningful as they are beautiful.

Since 2012, IKEA has worked with social enterprises in disadvantaged communities to help create meaningful, sustainable jobs through its Social Entrepreneurship initiatives.

The latest MÄVINN collection continues this commitment with 16 handcrafted items that support artisans while bringing character and warmth into the home.

Each product reflects the heritage, traditional skills, and creativity of its makers, proving that design can contribute to a better everyday life not only for customers but also for the people behind the products.

The MÄVINN 2026 collection builds on the success of previous launches, featuring handcrafted pieces made by artisans in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Jordan, and Thailand.

Natural materials, innovative techniques, and cultural traditions come together in designs that feel both contemporary and deeply rooted in craft history.

More than decorative objects, the products represent self-determination and pride. Every basket, rug, and lampshade tells a story of artisans working toward economic independence, stronger social positions, and greater opportunities for their families.

“The MÄVINN collection is inspired by the beach lifestyle in Southeast Asia. Vibrant colors, handmade details, and natural variations in the color and structure of the materials give a strong sense of craftsmanship. And all the pieces match each other!” says designer Luna Gil.

Collaboration is central to the MÄVINN collection. By working closely with social enterprises, IKEA creates space for co-creation and shared value. Each piece celebrates two essential elements: the collective spirit of the artisans and the natural materials they transform into functional, expressive designs.

The result is a collection that feels personal, purposeful, and full of life, proof that good design can make a difference, far beyond the home.
