A Pink Living Room in a Top Floor Art Nouveau Apartment
In the picturesque Art Nouveau neighborhood in Stockholm’s Midsommerkransen area lies this charming one-bedroom apartment with a pink living room, a large bay window, and a cozy kitchen.
The 60-square-meter apartment features original elements from the beginning of the 20th century, such as high ceilings, wooden floors, and two traditional Swedish fireplaces, paired with a nice color palette of pink and blue-gray hues and modern furnishings.

The apartment is located in a corner position in the building, allowing light to flow in from two directions. Thanks to the apartment’s circular floor plan, with doors connecting all the rooms, light can flow through the home.

The apartment’s living room features a beautiful bay window, creating the perfect spot for a large dining table.

The walls in the living room are painted in a nice light pink shade, with a white border toward the ceiling, accentuating the ceiling height.

During the day, the living room is wonderfully bright, but in the evening, you can create a cozy ambiance by lighting the Swedish tiled fireplace.

The pink sofa is from Meli Meli, which is paired with a textured white rug and a clear coffee table.

The bedroom is located in the corner position and features windows in two directions as well as doors leading to the living room and the kitchen for a nice, flowing layout.

Large windows with deep window niches are traditional for these older Swedish apartments. They are perfect for plants, books, or other decor.

Just as the living room, the bedroom features a tiled fireplace, which, together with the moody hue on the walls, creates a cozy atmosphere.

The kitchen can be accessed via the hall and the bedroom.

The kitchen is a cozy space with a touch of bistro style. The gray-green cabinets are paired with brass knobs, a white stone countertop, and white square tiles that run almost to the ceiling.

A smart and stylish storage niche has been fitted into the wall with wooden shelves for glassware, herbs, and other smaller items.

By the window, there is enough space for a breakfast table, and with a folding table, you can even seat more people if needed. Another option would be to add a built-in corner bench with storage space against the two walls.

The bathroom is tiny, but it features a clawfoot bath. The room is designed in a classic and simple style with white square tilework, a blue wet-room carpet, and gray cabinetry.

The hall features light gray walls, including tongue-and-groove paneling. Next to the front door is a niche fitted with storage cabinets, as well as a hat shelf for coats and smaller items.
