IKEA has launched the SPJUTLILJA collection, a new series designed by Swiss designer Juliette Szott that celebrates the personal home through colors, shapes, and functional everyday products.
We’ve already seen images of this series in the July launch with new products, but now we take a closer look. This new series of dinnerware combines practical solutions with a playful design expression and makes it easy to create a relaxed, inviting, and create atmosphere around meals.
Juliette Szott has designed a series of products with the SPJUTLILJA series that encourages you to mix, match, and put a personal touch on the table setting.
The SPJUTLILJA series consists of mugs, bowls, plates, and tea towels, which together add warmth, color, and character to the home.
“When it came to designing a tableware set for everyone who is young at heart, my inspiration came from the ceramics I collected when I decorated my first home. I lived small, loved color, and was always looking for affordable, personal products that turn simple meals into something more.
I love mixing expressions when I set the table, the more color, the better! With the SPJUTLILJA series, I wanted to create a playful series that I would like to own. I hope you will like it too,” says designer Juliette Szott.
Colorful Functionality for Everyday Meals
The SPJUTLILJA collection is designed to make the small moments in everyday life a little more special. The series includes products that can be used individually as decorative elements or combined to create a cohesive and personal table setting.
The SPJUTLILJA serving set consists of three parts: a mug, a bowl, and a plate in different colors. The vibrant shades create an informal atmosphere around the table, whether you are enjoying a meal alone or with guests.
The mug is suitable for both cold and hot drinks; the bowl is perfect for everything from noodles and soups to breakfast; while the plate is ideal for dishes such as pasta, risotto, and other meals.
The series also includes smaller bowls in different colors, which, with their elegant shape and harmonious color palette, add style and personality to the table setting.
The bowls can be used for everything from nuts and fruit to rice, soups, and porridge, and work equally well for festive occasions as for everyday meals.
For those who want to add extra color to their kitchen, the series offers tea towels with multi-colored patterns.
The light yellow SPJUTLILJA storage jars with lids combine storage and aesthetics. The jars are suitable for dry goods such as coffee, tea, sugar, spices and nuts, but can also be used to store other small items around the house.
The SPJUTLILJA spice mill is black and light beige and combines functionality with graphic design.
