A Light Swedish Apartment with a Charming Kitchen
A flowing floor plan, a light color scheme, and natural light flooding into this home from two directions make this apartment feel much larger than its 57 square meter. The building was constructed in 1931 and still features original details such as serving cabinets, mirror doors, ceiling rosettes, beautiful beadboard in the kitchen, and slatted windows in deep niches, giving the apartment extra character.
The apartment is styled by Annica Clarmell to be put on the market and she decorated the home in a light palette making sure the original features truly shine. She mainly used white tones and added sage green and pink for subtle color accents. My favorite room in the house is the kitchen, there is a slight country feel to the room thanks to its original cupbaords and the wooden table in front of the window.
The living room is a calm space with walls painted in a light blue-gray color, a large white rug, and muted green and brown color accents.
There is a dining area in the corner with a lovely round wooden table.
The kitchen is a charming space with pearl plaster-clad walls and preserved cupboards. A small wooden table is placed in front of the window, offering views of the trees outside.
A bench has been added next to the built in cupboard so you can also socialize while cooking.
A pair or mirror doors in the living room give access to the bedroom. It’s a lovely bright room with windows in two directions. The entire room is decorated in white shades, creating a fresh look.
The walls of the hall are decorated with the Midbec Henry wallpaper and the sage green color of this wallpaper returns in the painted woodwork.
