A Light Swedish Villa With Historic Charm
I’ve got such a charming home tour for you today. Built in 1892 this villa lies in Norrtälje, a town north east from the capital Stockholm. I already loved the home when I just saw the outside, it’s a tradtional wooden Swedish home painted yellow with beautiful decorative carpentry. Inside you still feel the history of the home.
The kitchen was renovated in 2013 but luckily they decided for a country-style kitchen in a lovely shade of green that fits this historic home very well. An old woodburning stove was preserved and adds extra character to this kitchen. A light living room adjoins the kitchen which has a light wooden floor and large bay window. Upstairs are several bedrooms, the master bedroom has a large balcony, perfect for breakfast in the sunshine. I love the overall feel of this home, it has perfectly combined modern living with historic charm in light spacious rooms. This just makes me want to move to Sweden!!
