A Picture Perfect Swedish Country House

It’s absolutely freezing in The Netherlands and I must say that looking at this snow covered villa in Sweden isn’t exactly helping but it’s too nice not to share with you. The home is located in Åkers Styckebruk (just west of Stockholm) and it looks like it’s a home straight out of an Astrid Lindgren book.

A traditional red painted home is located on a quiet lane surrouned by fields, lanes and traditonal Swedish homes. The outside might be bright red but the inside is a calm haven in soothing soft color tones and natural materials.the spacious bright rooms still have original details from when the home was built in 1915 and the cozy country kitchen still has a wood burning stove that’s not only functional but also gives the space extra charm.

It’s a Swedish country house the way you’ve always imagined them if you’ve grown up with Swedish books like I have.
