A Small and Serene Apartment with an Industrial Glass Bedroom
On a prime position in Stockholm with views of the canal lies this charming renovated apartment. The apartment perfectly pairs early 20th-century details and modern Scandinavian minimalism into a light one bedroom apartment.
The apartment of only 36 square meters feels both luxurious and cozy as the exclusive materials go well with the original charm of the building. The materials have been carefully combined to create a dynamic and peaceful environment, with elements such as an industrial wall in glass and metal, high skirting boards, soft color tones, and wooden details.
A separate bedroom has been created with industrial glass walls that let the light flow through the apartment and maintain an open feeling, which is essential in such a small space. Curtains in front of the window can turn the bedroom into a private space.
The walls of the living room are painted in Jotun’s color “Froströk”, a calming beige shade that creates a harmonious atmosphere in the apartment. The large window floods the room with light and offers a great city view.
The elevated position of the apartment provides a rare unobstructed view of the water and some of Stockholm’s most famous landmarks.
The kitchen was recently renovated adding stylish gray cabinets with black fittings and warm wooden details. The cabinets are paired with a Jura Grey limestone worktop and backsplash.
The bedroom is small but big enough for a double bed. This room also offers beautiful views of the city.
The renovated bathroom is fitted with “Norrvange Light Grey” tiles from Bricmate paired with stylish black fittings.
On the other side of the hall lies a walk-in closet ensuring that the rest of the apartment stays tidy.
The hallway is painted in a light green hue called ‘Vit Ljung’ by Jotun.
