A Small Swedish Apartment with Warm Color Accents
Light gray walls and a dark smoked oak parquet floor form the base for a warm apartment in the Swedish capital, Stockholm. The 50 square meter apartment is modest in size, but thanks to the open layout of the living room and kitchen and a clever design in the bedroom, you end up with a lovely two-bedroom apartment that feels big enough.
Light floods into the living spaces from two directions, which means that the rooms are flooded with natural light from lunchtime to evening. The warm wooden floor is a big factor in the warm atmosphere of the apartment, but the owners also added warm color tones in furniture and decor to enhance this warm vibe.

A vintage rattan ottoman is used as a coffee table. You can find a similar one right here.
The living room and kitchen have a midcentury vibe with wooden furniture paired with a minimalistic blue sofa and warm accents in the pink curtains, rug, and other accessories.
The walls in the living room are painted in “Froströk” from Jotun.
The open layout toward the kitchen and the hallway make the modes sized rooms feel larger.
The kitchen is simple in design, with white cabinets and white tiles. In front of the window, they created a lovely dining area with a small table surrounded by vintage chairs.
From the living room, you enter the master bedroom. It’s a small room but big enough for a double bed and thanks to the wall with built-in wardrobes there is plenty of storage.
Through the master bedroom, you enter the smaller room which is now decorated as a kids bedroom but it could also be a home office or walk in closet.
The owners took advantage of the high ceilings by adding a loft bed with a study area and custom wardrobes underneath.
The bathroom was renovated last year and the walls are now covered with dark green half-jointed tiles and the floor is covered with classic black and white tiles.
