A Tiny Minimalistic Apartment in Stockholm
How do you decorate a tiny apartment? Well, perhaps you should take a look at this 29-square-meter apartment in Stockholm. The turn-of-the-century apartment has been completely renovated, preserving original details like original floors and windows, stucco, deep window niches, and high ceilings.
However, the interiors in this tiny Swedish apartment are modern and minimalistic. The owners opted for a light color palette, making the small rooms feel more spacious, enhanced by a large mirror in the living room. Built-in storage and furniture pieces make the small home look tidy, stylish, and more spacious than its floor plan.
The hall s separated the two rooms of the apartment, with on the left the open plan living room and kitchen and the bedroom on the right.
The room features a renovated kitchen with light cabinets and a stone worktop from Granitop.
Above the kitchen work area, the owners added a large mirror, making the room feel brighter and larger. It is such a smart design choice for a small apartment.
Opposite the kitchen is a an awkward nook that has been turned into a built in sofa with underneath storage space. The beautiful stained glass window shows the age of the building.
On the right of the sofa is a built-in cabinet that is now used as a pantry as the kitchen doesn’t have much storage space due to only using lower cabinets for a more spacious look.
There are no walls between the living room and hall, making it feel bigger than it is.
On the other side of the hallway lies a small bedroom that is just big enough for a double bed.
The bedroom has floor to ceiling wardrobes, maximizing storage space.
The bathroom sits between the hall and the bedroom and is designed in a cool black-and-white color scheme.
The apartment was listed for sale at Sjöman Partners.
