An Airy One-Bedroom Apartment with Art and A Yellow Kitchen

In a charming 1930s building in Stockholm lies this charming one-bedroom apartment filled with art and a kitchen with a sunny yellow color on the walls. The apartment is only 46 square meters, but it has an open layout and large windows, making the home feel larger.

The preserved original details like the windows, mirrored doors, ceiling rosette, and built-in wardrobes provide a charming setting. The living room has an open layout with the hall which is big enough to be used as a dining room. The bedroom and kitchen are tiny but well-designed.

Like many historic Swedish houses, it has an inner hall. This is a spacious area in the hallway that can be decorated as you wish. In this apartment, they turned it into a dining room, but it can also be a home office or even an extra bedroom.

You can see more examples of an inner hall right here.

The kitchen was renovated a couple of years ago, adding light beige cabinets with classic knobs paired with a wooden countertop on one side and a stainless steel top on the other. On the floor lies a classic black and white tile from Byggfabriken.

The ceiling height has been taken advantage of with extra high upper cabinets. The walls are painted in a yellow shade that adds a sunny vibe to the room, which only has a high window to the bedroom.
