An Open-Plan Scandinavian Home with Double Height Ceilings
Open-plan living is beautiful but also quite a challenge. Of course the spaciousness of the rooms are great to have but you still want to create cozy areas to make it feel like a home. Yvette and Anders decided to built an open-plan home when their children left the nest with a large living space where they could entertain many people and with views over the surrounding Swedish landscape.
Even though they only used light colors tones like white, light grey and sand tones they still managed to create a warm and cozy home by using many pillows, rugs and wooden details such as a spectacalur rustic wooden dining table. The spiral staircase in the living room leads to the only bedroom of the house which I think is also a great design feature.
Next to their house stands a little studio for when one of their children come to visit and want to stay the night, sounds perfect to me! This homes shows that you can have an open-plan home in a monochrome color scheme that still feels warm and cozy.
