An Eclectic Colorful House in an Old Dutch Farmhouse

On a small river close to Amsterdam stands a beautiful old farmhouse that interior designer Reineke Antvelink of RA studio turned into a cozy, eclectic home. From 2017 on, Reineke renovated this 350-year-old farmhouse, infusing it with a bold mix of material, form, color, and style.

The combination of materials like wood, natural stone, and antiques combined with fresh colors, patterns, and design creates a beautiful home where old and new are combined in an effortless and stylish way.

The first living room is located above the wine and pantry cellar, so it has cozy slanted ceilings and blue-painted ceiling beams. The green velvet sofa, designed by RA STUDIO, is centered around a fireplace flanked by blue built-in bookcases.

The beautiful custom cabinet contains a hidden door that provides access to the dining room and kitchen.

The open kitchen and dining room are designed to be enjoyed during the day, with seating overlooking the romantic garden and a large table. The space has a lot of historic charm thanks to the exposed beams and rustic tiled floor.

The kitchen is custom-made, featuring black marble worktops and green tiles from Piet Jonker.

At the back of the old barn is a second sitting room with a large velvet pink sofa, a high-pitched ceiling with wooden beams, a home bar, and a large glass wall with French doors overlooking the lush garden.
