A Charming Studio Apartment with a Loft Bed
A floor plan of only 26 square meters comes with many challenges. However, this studio apartment in Stockholm is lucky to have high ceilings and an outdoor space of 17 square meters, which will extend the living space in the warmer months.
The studio apartment is located on the ground floor of a turn-of-the-century apartment building, and thanks to the ceiling height of 3.10 meters, the owners could add a loft bed to open up the floor plan for a sofa and a small table.
A smart loft bed has been built in this studio apartment which is big enough to sleep two people and it has a shelf attached for storage.
A small headboard is also created so there is also a ledge that can be used as a display shelf.
Under the loft bed, there is plenty of room for a cozy seating area.
The studio has open wardrobes that are hidden from view by a semi-sheer curtain. This storage solution feels less bulky than solid wardrobes, and there are no doors that take up space when they’re opened.
A couple of years ago a new kitchen was added in a country style with mirrored cabinets fronts, white subway tiles, and a wooden worktop.
Open shelves instead of upper cabinets help to create a more spacious feeling in a small space.
The big selling point of this studio apartment is the large outdoor terrace with built-in flower beds and a bench and plenty of room for a dining table and more seating.
