A Charming and Cozy Midcentury Family Apartment in Sweden
Fans of midcentury furniture and architecture will be delighted with this swedish apartment. The 83 square meter apartment has a good balnce between social and private spaces, and with windows on three sides, there are views from every room.
The exciting angles, together with the windows, parquet flooring, interior doors, fireplace, and the other preserved original details create character. The entire apartment is painted in a muted color palette, suiting the midcentury design so well. The plants, decor, and cozy textures turn it into a charming family home.
The living room is a cozy pace with walls painted in a dark beige shade, the original herringbone parquet floor, and a fireplace that will turn this space into a cozy haven after dark.
attached to the living room is a sunny balcony, extending the living space in the summer months.
The kitchen was renovated a couple of years go and features linden-green doors with classic tick locks from Alsikekök. These light green midcentury cabinets are paired with simple white tiles, a gray checkerboard floor, and an orange Smeg fridge.
One wall is painted with black chalk paint.
The wooden bench adds a social aspect to the kitchen.
Next to the kitchen lies the dining room, featuring a characteristic bay window that lets in plenty of natural light. The floor is covered with oak parquet and the walls are painted in a green-beige colour.
The master bedroom is a lovely serene space with walls painted in a soothing beige-pink tone.
The largest bedroom is located next to the living room with glass double doors dividing the two. The room i now used as a children’s room with a bunk bed and half painted ochre yellow walls.
