A Charming Home with Lake Views South of Stockholm
Only 20 minutes from central Stockholm stands a wonderful turn-of-the-century villa with views of the lake. The white-painted wooden home was built in 1928 and features original elements, creating an inviting atmosphere.
Interior designer Sara Garanty designed the color scheme for the house. The rooms are painted in soft, matt colors from Jotun paired with wallpapers from William Morris and Ulricehamns Tapetfabrik.
The ground floor is designed with an open floor plan, and each corner has its own function. The living room sits in the corner of the house. The walls are painted in a soft beige-pink shade that is paired with lighter tones in the furniture and decor.
The large sofa fits an entire family, and in the corner stands a fireplace, adding warmth in the dark and colder months.
From the living room, you move into the dining area, where the walls are decorated with the Cornucopia wallpaper from the Långelid / von Brömssen collection.
The kitchen is designed in a classic country style with light green cabinets, white tiles, and brass fittings.
The non-tiled walls are decorated with the Marigold wallpaper from William Morris.
A charming breakfast bar is created under the window, offering views of the lake.
The spacious hall features tongue and groove paneling painted in a light beige shade paired with William Morris Pimpernel wallpaper.
A beautiful oak staircase leads to the first floor.
There are three bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom is painted in a blush pink shade and also has a feature wall decorated in William Morris’s Pimpernel wallpaper.
The children’s room is decorated with the Oak Tree Trails wallpaper by Långelid / von Brömssen.
The house is listed for sale at Svensk Fastighetsförmedling.
