A Classic Stockholm Apartment with Floral Wallpaper
A harmonious blend of historic elegance and contemporary comfort turns this home in the heart of Stockholm into a cozy and stylish family home. Dating back to 1885, this residence exudes historic charm with details such as ornate stucco, tall floor plinths, graceful double doors, tiled fireplaces, and soaring 3.3-meter ceilings.
The layout is designed to accommodate both relaxation and social gatherings. The kitchen and lounge have spacious living areas, perfect for hosting dinners and events. Emphasizing practicality, the floor plan offers impressive continuity and ample space for everyday family life.
The apartment is decorated with floral wallpapers and beautiful, serene paint colors. While the living rooms are decorated in darker colors, the kitchen and bedrooms have a light color scheme. This apartment is truly special. It feels so cozy and inviting; I could definitely see myself living here.
The living room is a cozy space with ornate stucco on the ceiling. The walls are decorated with the ‘Atwood Wallpaper’ from Colefax and Fowler.
The room features a beautiful original fireplace with light blue accents and a gilded mirror.
Through a set of double doors, you enter the home office.
The home office also features renovated ornate stucco. The walls are painted in museum green and paired with ochre yellow curtains and two vintage desks.
The desk chair is upholstered with Josef Frank fabric.
The kitchen is decorated in a sunny French country kitchen style with yellow floral wallpaper from Boråstapeter, white kitchen cabinets, Carrara marble worktops, shelves, and white tiles.
The spacious kitchen has plenty of room for a dining table and with the sunlight flooding into this room it’s a wonderful space to spent time in.
Next to the kitchen lies the master bedroom with walls painted in a calm gray-green shade from Auro and a balcony.
The pink bedding adds a romantic touch to the bedroom.
In the inner hall there is a built-in bookcase that houses a large library. Opposite the bookcase, between the hall and the bathroom, a wardrobe section connects with built-in wardrobes on both sides.
The second bedroom is now used as a children’s room. Three walls are painted in the same gray-green shade as the master bedroom and one wall is decorated with the ‘Hoppmosse’ wallpaper from Boråstapeter.
The powder room is decorated in a classic style with a sink from Burlington, an antique cabinet, and walls painted in a bold red shade.
