A Colorful Studio Apartment with Gucci Wallpaper
On the fourth floor of a 1930s building in the Södermalm area in Stockholm lies a studio apartment packed with color, original elements, and a luxurious Gucci wallpaper in the sleeping alcove.
The apartment belongs to the Swedish TV personality, comedian, and actor Edvin Törnblom. The 42-square-meter apartment has a practical layout, featuring a sleeping alcove large enough for a double bed and a kitchen area in another niche.
The period features, like the large windows with deep window niches and the parquet herringbone floor, are paired with contemporary design and bold color combinations. This Swedish studio is an absolute joy!

Thanks to the smart layout, every area has its own purpose. The sitting area is defined by a large purple rug from Nordic Knots, topped with a glass travertine coffee table and a gray sofa.

The warm beige walls (one of the color trends for 2026) are paired with a vibrant gallery wall featuring bold colors like orange and blue.

A beautiful candlestick holder with a Friendship Knot, designed by Josef Frank in the 1930s, stands on the table.

Next to the sitting area lies the sleeping alcove that can be hidden from view with a curtain.

The sleeping alcove is decorated with a floral wallpaper from Gucci. The wallpaper is part of a collection of wallpapers depicting motifs and designs inspired by the ready-to-wear collections.
The floral motif is designed by the creative trio A Paris chez Antoinette Poisson, named after the arts and wallpapers amateur Marquise de Pompadour, born Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson.

On the other side of the room lies the newly renovated kitchen. A large dining table with green chairs connects the sitting area with the cooking space.

The forest green cabinets are paired with a travertine countertop and brass fittings. A double row of upper cabinets maximizes storage space in the small kitchen.

The hall is a fabulous entry to the apartment. The vibrant green walls are paired with a pink-painted ceiling and a pink wavy Gustaf Westman mirror by the front door.
