A deVOL Haberdasher’s Kitchen for the Owner of Bert & May
What a fantastic kitchen space I can share with you today. deVOL Kitchens has teamed up with Lee, founder of handmade tile company Bert & May, and his partner Philip for a warm and slightly retro-style kitchen in their Yorkshire home.
The kitchen, which was featured on season two of deVOL’s television show “For the Love of Kitchens,” is made of the deVOL Haberdasher range, which features cabinets made of warm wood with a slight seventies feel to it.
Lee and Philip wanted their kitchen to feel like Los Angeles meets Spain, and the Haberdasher cabinets are perfect for that vibe. The warm wood, curved shapes, and slim glazed cabinets are chich and unfussy, creating that typical laid-back vibe that you often find in LA and southern Europe.

The room is huge so it is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen island helps ou stay connected to friends and family, and the huge rustic wooden dining table seats plenty.
The Haberdasher prep table is a very large furniture piece (it’s more than three meters long), but in this kitchen, it’s the perfect divider between the kitchen space and the dining area.
The Heirloom Gaselier Light hangs over the kitchen island.
As one of the owners is the owner of the tile company Bert & May you won’t be surprised that this kitchen features a wonderful combination of handmade tiles.
The backsplash is made with Raw Thick Bejmat tiles from Bert & May
The fireplace is decorated with reclaimed Rio tiles.
The slim glazed upper cabinets are perfect for storing beautiful storage pots.
This kitchen is a historic Georgian home is simply perfect. The warm wooden furniture in combination with the handmade tiles and plenty of plants give this space a warm and sunny holiday vibe.
