A Small Tour of Pearl Lowe’s Stunning deVOL Laundry Room

Gone are the days when utility rooms were boring and only practical. Today, I want to share a great laundry room project with you that can be found in Pearl Lowe’s home. This laundry room is the perfect example of how utility spaces can be practical, unique, and beautiful.

Pearl Lowe already teamed up with deVOL for her beautiful kitchen, and for the laundry room, she returned to deVOL to help her design one of the smallest rooms of her house. Real Shaker base furniture forms the sides for this U-shaped laundry space with two fully open cabinets that house the washing machine and tumble dryer.

The small room has a vintage vibe with dusty pink walls, lace curtains in front of the window, vintage art, red patterned curtains in front of the open cabinets, and aged star-patterned floor tiles. In the center of the room is a beautiful big Heirloom sink cabinet with deVOL’s meter-wide unlacquered brass sink. A traditional Victorian sink would have been brass, zinc, or copper, so the authenticity of this deVOL sink gives the room a historic vibe.

The metal of the sink will age naturally. And the marks that will appear will only make this sink more beautiful. On the left wall, they added cabinets from the deVOL Classic English range.

As the space is rather small, the use of curtains is beautiful and practical. It easily hides appliances and storage space you don’t want in view, and they can easily be opened without using the limited available floor space.

The deVOL Café Curtain Rails have been fitted for three sets of base cupboard curtains.

The soft pink walls pair beautifully with the cabinets in deVOL’s Clerkenwell Blue shade. The brass fittings, red curtains, and vintage decor complete the warm and charming look.

One wall has been fitted with two wooden shelves where Pearl displays vintage art and glasswork.
