An Eclectic English-Inspired Villa in California
A historic house in Marin county has been redesigned to create an eclectic English-inspired home for a mother and her three daughters.
Interior designer Brad Krefman wanted to create a home that would built further on this historic vibe but add a little modern spin to it. The goals was to create a house that is comfortable and lived in with classic and country elements.
The villa is located in California and because of that Brad worked with Polsky Perlstein Architects to create a home with a strong connection to the outdoors.
Brad was inspired by a trip to England where he took notes on how the English combine patterns and colors. You can definitely see that in this beautiful home.
Just for this outdoor space alone do I love this house. The terrace space and swimming pool is truly part of the ground floor living spaces.
The kitchen was a small and dark room. But together with Polsky Perlstein Architects did they create a new kitchen space that also opens up to the patio.
Wooden beams add a rustic touch and the large dining table is perfect for dinner parties.
Not many powder rooms look this good. Painted in a soft lavender shade with a marble sink.
A rustic country sitting room with wooden beams and a large stone fireplace. This must be a super cozy room when the fire is lit.
The poolhouse is perfect for making music and enjoy yourself
Never be afraid to use wallpaper in a bathroom. Absolutely love this butterfly wallpaper.
