Jessica Helgerson’s Wild Goose Farmhouse on Sauvie Island
I’ve featured project by Jessica Helgerson Interior Design multiple times on the blog and now I’m sharing her own house on Sauvie Island. Jessica shares her home with husband, architect Yianni Doulis, and their 2 children. The home is located on a five-acre property on Sauvie Island, an agriculturally zoned island on the Columbia River, just outside of Portland. Originally they lived in a smaller house on the estate but now they’ve designed this larger home.
Jessica and her husband decided that this place was perfect for a simple, classic American farmhouse with white cladding. The simple styling continues inside where you’ll find a cozy book-filled living room and a large open-plan kitchen/dining room. The lovely greenhouse is perfect for your morning coffee (or tea) surrounded by plants and overlooking the surrounding land. On the top floor is a light attic room filled with books, perfect as a quiet readining corner. Love this home!
