A Light Apartment with a Stainless Steel Kitchen
The Scandinavian interior style has evolved since I first started blogging, but this Stockholm apartment is how most apartments looked during the start of my blogging career. White walls, a wooden floor, modern design, and the occasional warm color accent, it’s Scandinavian design at its most stylish.
The 61-square-meter apartment is located in a historic building dating from 1932. Unfortunately, you don’t see historic features in the apartment except for the wooden floorboards that are original to the apartment.
The apartment is stylishly decorated with a modern design in light colors and wood that is paired with industrial elements in the kitchen and the stainless steel door to the bedroom. It’s modern, stylish, and very beautiful
The living room is a light space with a light gray sofa, white low cabinets decorated with art and other beautiful objects, and a large fluffy rug that adds coziness.
The wooden accents and brown tones in the home decor add a warm touch to the room.
Thanks to the open floorplan where there are no internal doors between the living room and the kitchen and hallway, the rooms feel more spacious and they are lighter.
Behind the dining area and the wall of bookshelves is a small room that flows into the hallway.
To create a stylish Scandinavian living room, you don’t have to buy expensive design furniture. These stylish wooden cabinets are the Ivar cabinets from IKEA which are decorated with unique art and other decorations.
Next to the living room is a narrow room that is now used as a home office.
The kitchen is newly renovated in an industrial style with stainless steel cabinet doors, white tiles, and black shelves.
Separated from the kitchen with industrial windows and a glass door is the raised bedroom which is big enough for a double bed and is wonderfully light thanks to the large window.
