A Light Turn-of-the-Century Apartment with a Cheerful Color Palette
Let’s take a tour of an almost 130-year-old apartment in Stockholm that is decorated in a cheerful color palette. The 65-square-meter apartment with two bedrooms has light filled rooms and an open floor plan.
A couple of years ago the apartment was renovated, adding a fresh color palette of blue, green, and warm yellow tones and uncovering the original wooden floorboards that add historic character to the apartment. In the kitchen, a new wooden floor was laid to match with the original boards.

There is only one window in the living room, but the room feels very light thanks to the beautiful light blue shade on the walls which pair so well with the original wooden floor.
The living room is spacious with space for a large dining table in front of the window and bookshelves on the wall.
The apartment has a semi-open floor plan, thanks to combining these two rooms natural light flows into the living space from three windows.
Even though the kitchen is small, there is plenty of storage space thanks to the double layer of upper cabinets that make the most of the high ceilings.
The master bedroom has walls painted in a warm beige shade with yellow undertones. The overall color scheme of the home is continued in this room with the blue cushions and green curtains.
The main bedroom gives access to a sunny and spacious courtyard balcony with room for a table and a lounge sofa.
The second bedroom is a charming room with a slanted wall and built-in shelves in the niche by the desk. The walls are decorated in the green Svenskt Tenn Clover wallpaper.
The hallway is a warm and inviting welcome to the apartment with walls painted in a deep yellow shade.
