Nature-Inspired Elements and Contemporary Design in a Midcentury Home
Nestled in the tranquil enclave of Bel Air Knolls, 16632 Park Lane Circle is a stunning example of mid-century modern restoration. This 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath home, originally designed during the peak of mid-century modernism, has been meticulously reimagined by designer and developer Jordan Bakva.
Inspired by site visits to iconic mid-century properties throughout Los Angeles, Jordan has breathed new life into the historic home while honoring its original architectural integrity. Jordan Bakva is known for his authentic approach to luxury residential design, which can also be seen in a Los Feliz Tudor home previously featured on The Nordroom, and this midcentury house is another splendid example of his beautiful design work.

There is an effortless flow into the living space facing the garden. The spacious living room, featuring a fireplace and projection screen, flows effortlessly into a formal dining room and the kitchen.
The chef’s kitchen is the heart of the home. The custom oak cabinets are paired with Bronze Fantasy marble surfaces, creating a luxurious space.
The expansive island, designed to seat six, serves as the perfect space for casual meals and refined gatherings alike.
The entryway features the home’s original terrazzo floors, elegantly paired with white oak paneling, creating a seamless fusion of timeless craftsmanship and modern luxury.
Everywhere in the house, Jordan used oak wood, and the master suite is no different from the custom bed niche to the floor-to-ceiling wardrobes. The master bedroom also has a great connection to the garden for seamless indoor/outdoor living.
The master bathroom features a gorgeous custom vanity with double sinks and a dressing table in between.
The bathroom also includes an era-appropriate Ceppo sunken shower.
Designer tip: ‘Follow your gut.. always. There is no wrong answer in design, or creativity in that matter. However, if you don’t follow your gut, know matter how quietly it speaks, you will ultimately feel wishing you ad done it right. Right = Gut. Trust your taste. Craft a *thorough* vision. Execute on that vision.’
The house features four additional bedrooms with en suite bathrooms adorned with Italian travertine tiles, which provide both space and sophistication.
Outdoors, the property features a secluded yard with a saltwater pool and spa, offering a serene environment for relaxation and entertainment.
