Natural Materials and Light-Filled Spaces in a Malibu Beach House
Set within the guard-gated enclave of Paradise Cove, this beautifully updated beach retreat offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle just moments from Malibu’s iconic shoreline. Sun-drenched and effortlessly inviting, the home blends modern updates with laid-back charm, creating a space that feels like a year-round escape.
A jasmine-framed front deck welcomes visitors through the gates, immediately setting a tranquil tone. It’s the perfect place to enjoy slow mornings with coffee, breathe in the ocean air, and settle into the unhurried rhythm of coastal living.

Inside, soaring vaulted ceilings and generous skylights fill the home with natural light, creating bright and open living spaces.

The home is decorated in a typical white-and-blue beach-style palette, with earth tones added for warmth. The ceiling in the living space is painted in a delicate blue-gray hue.

The main living area is centered around a charming wood-burning fireplace and flows seamlessly through French doors into a newly landscaped backyard designed for indoor-outdoor living. The artwork above the dining table is a print of a Claire Tabouret painting.

The large wooden dining table is the heart of the home. Surrounded by a built-in bench and vintage Hank Lowenstein Padova chairs in white and blue, this is the social gathering space of the beach cottage.

The renovated kitchen combines functionality with relaxed coastal style, with fresh blue cabinets and three skylights creating a light space.

The master bedroom features a beautiful double arched headboard. The walls are decorated with the Coven Apricot wallpaper by Maison C, a wallpaper line founded by artist Costanza Theodoli-Braschi and interior designer Chiara de Rege.

The second bedroom is decorated with the Spot & Star wallpaper by Molly Mahon. A built-in bed is fitted with underneath storage, while the Kilim rug adds warmth and texture.

The newly-added third bedroom is a fresh space with built-in furniture and white-painted paneled walls, adding to the beach vibe in the home.

A high-pitched ceiling with a skylight turns the small bathroom into a welcoming and bright space.

The outdoor space invites both relaxation and entertaining. A built-in dining banquette and lounge area create an inviting setting for gatherings, while an outdoor shower makes rinsing off after a beach day effortless.

The Scandinavian-inspired outdoor furniture is made of teak by Lief.

Just above the yard, a private hilltop observation pad offers a peaceful vantage point for watching sunset skies and enjoying the ocean breeze.

The house is listed with Jenna Cooper.
