Belgian and Nordic Influences in a Victorian Terrace by Pascoe Studio
In the heart of West London, a Victorian terrace house has been reborn through the skilled vision of Emma Pascoe of Pascoe Studio. The complete renovation of the property breathes new life into a historic residence, blending Belgian and Nordic design influences to create an understated elegant, and timeless atmosphere.
With a focus on interior architecture, natural materials, and mid-century antiques, Pascoe Studio’s design philosophy values textures and tones over patterns and prints. This approach is visible in the refined, neutral color palettes in Emma’s projects and the careful selection of natural materials and finishes that will acquire a beautiful patina with age.
Sourcing is at the heart of Emma’s design philosophy, whether that is sourcing props and pieces for shoots, brands, or private residential clients. This Victorian home is filled with unique finds and timeless design pieces.

‘I wanted to create a light-filled, neutral, and calm sanctuary focusing on natural materials, textures, and tones.’ says Emma Pascoe
Her aesthetic approach is visible in every room of this Victorian house, transforming it into a haven of tranquility and refined style.
The Victorian Terrace showcases a harmonious blend of historic character and contemporary features. The interior spaces are flooded with natural light and feature original elements like ceiling ornaments and restored wooden floorboards with a mixture of contemporary furniture and antique mid-century finds.
A set of Ole dining chairs, with the original fabric seats, by Niels Koefoed for Koefoeds Hornslet are paired with an extendable Danish dining table.
Pascoe Studio sourced a teak Austinsuite sideboard with beautiful sliding tambour doors for the kitchen. The Danish-inspired cabinet is a British piece, possibly designed by Frank Guille, and was made in 1965.
‘Buy well and buy once. I always favor buying antiques, as old pieces have so much more character,’ explains Emma Pascoe. This sentiment is reflected in the careful selection of furniture and décor in this London townhouse. Each piece adds its own history to the already historic house and a timeless elegance to the interior spaces.
In the bedroom, you will find a pair of birds-eye maple cabinets from the 1930s paired with an original Tizio table lamp by Richard Sapper for Artemide.
For this design project, Pascoe Studio worked with Belgian hardware company Dauby, which supplied all the ironmongery throughout the house. This exciting collaboration led Pascoe Studio to offer a curated selection of Dauby’s products to the UK market, which are available on their website.
In the bathroom, they choose Dauby’s Olive knobs for the vanity and Olive door handles for the sliding door. Both are for sale in the shop on Pascoe Studio’s website, in rust and a black finish.
The renovation of this Victorian terrace house by Pascoe Studio shows the beauty of blending historic architecture with a contemporary design aesthetic, creating a timeless home that fills you with a sense of calm. With its light and calm spaces, the London house is also available to hire as a shoot location.
