Pink and Blue Tones in a Late 19th-Century Apartment
This charming two-bedroom apartment is located in a beautiful turn-of-the-century apartment complex in Gothenburg. The 77 square meter home features period elements from the late 19th-century and a pink and blue color scheme.
The apartment was recently renovated, creating contemporary interiors with beautiful original elements like stucco, built-in wardrobes, and wooden doors that add character to the rooms. Large windows in two directions create a bright atmosphere, and the two balconies let you enjoy the sunshine throughout the day.

The living room is a bright space thanks to high ceilings, a large window, and glass balcony doors.
The walls are painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Pink Ground’, making the period elements, like the stucco, deep window niches, and wooden doors really stand out.
The living room opens to a balcony. The open location adds to the sense of space in the apartment.
The living room is big enough for a comfortable seating area and a large dining table. A former doorway has been turned into a charming built-in bookcase painted in the bold blue shade ‘Stiffkey Blue’ by Farrow & Ball.
Beautiful double wooden doors separate the living room from the master bedroom.
The master bedroom is wonderfully bright thanks to two large windows, while well-preserved turn-of-the-century details such as beautiful stucco, a ceiling rose, and high skirting boards add charm.
The walls in the bedroom are half painted using Farrow & Ball’s light blue shade ‘Lulworth Blue’. The upper half has been kept white which enhances the bright and spacious feeling of the room.

A vintage wooden folding table with bistro chairs stands in the corner, creating a charming breakfast nook.
Glass doors open to a courtyard wrought-iron balcony with corner bench seating.
The second bedroom lies next to the kitchen. The walls are painted in a light green tone and it easily fits a double bed and a desk.
