A Pink and Green Color Palette in the Eclectic London Apartment of Two Designers
This one-bedroom London apartment has been published in almost every home magazine/website, and for good reason. The home, located on the first floor of a mid-Victorian Italianate-style house overlooking Camden Square, is an eclectic masterpiece.
The 693-square-foot apartment is the home of artist and designer Luke Edward Hall and Duncan Campbell. The decor of the apartment is constantly changing and currently features a bright red kitchen, a hand-painted mural by Magda Gordon, and a romantic pink-and-green bedroom.
A couple of years ago, the couple moved to the countryside, and it looks like they are there to stay, as this apartment is coming up for sale.

The apartment’s open-plan living space is defined by two large arched sash windows and rosy-pink walls. Though multiple colors are used, the main color palette for the entire apartment is a combination of pink and green, which is a classic combo for a reason.

The room is defined into separate zones by cleverly placed furniture. The sitting area, under the large windows, is defined by a herringbone-patterned green rug from The Rug Company. The red of the kitchen returns in the glossy coffee table.

The armchairs are upholstered in the Victoire fabric by Pierre Frey.

Behind the sofa, a charming nook, painted in a glossy beige tone, serves as a home office, featuring an antique wooden desk and bookshelves. From the home office, glazed doors lead you to a balcony overlooking Camden Square.

On the other side of the room is a large area for cooking and dining. The dining table stands atop an ochre-yellow and pink rug from Duncan Campbell’s own Gustavian-inspired collection in collaboration with Nordic Knots.

The Plain English kitchen is painted in a bright red hue, paired with a Verde Marinace olive-green granite countertop and a hand-painted Balineum tiled backsplash.

The romantic bedroom is decorated with the ‘À la Table du Roi’ wallpaper by Pierre Frey paired with a leopard-print carpet and a soft pink canopy. Built-in bookshelves are painted in a green hue inspired by the wallpaper.

The headboard is also decorated with the botanical green fabric in the same pattern from Pierre Frey.

The bathroom is equally colorful, featuring the geometric ‘Mongiardino Faux Marquetry’ by San Patrignano wallpaper and green tilework in the shower. The remaining walls and paneling are also painted green.

A pretty marble backsplash is fitted behind the classic Burlington sink.

The bathroom features both a rolltop bath and a walk-in shower, while an antique cabinet adds storage space.

The hall is a magnificent entry to the eclectic home. It pairs Papier Français wallpaper with a classically inspired trompe-l’œil mural by Magda Gordon around the doorframes and doors, including the two doors leading to a built-in wardrobe.

The apartment is listed for £650.000 at Inigo.
