A Stylish Light Gray Swedish Apartment
While many Scandinavian interiors have evolved into more colorful spaces, you can find the classic gray and white Nordic homes that people from all over the world fell in love with. Today, I want to share a beautiful, classic Scandinavian apartment with light rooms, gray walls, and stylish light furniture.
The apartment is located in a beautiful 1905 turn-of-the-century building in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. It has a three-meter ceiling height, two original fireplaces, and decorative elements like stucco, ceiling rosettes, and moldings.
The 113 square meter apartment has a lovely layout with a large open-plan kitchen and dining room in the center, with a charming room with rounded corners on one side and two smaller rooms on the other side.
The old stairwell of the building has been added to this apartment and turned into an amazing living room with an attached balcony. With windows on the south and the west side, this room is flooded with natural light.
I love how the artworks brings some color accents to the sitting room.
The kitchen and dining room tie the apartment together and create a natural gathering place.
There is a clear separation between the dining area and the cooking area.
The kitchen from Marbodal has white doors and a white worktop made of exclusive Silestone. White tiles run all the way to the ceiling.
On the other side of the kitchen are two rooms separated by wooden double doors. The first room is now a combined sitting room and home office.
In the bedroom, the turn of the century elements are visible in the wooden floors, cast iron radiators, mirror doors, stucco, and ceiling rosettes.
One wall has been fitted with wardrobes from Kvänum that offer plenty of storage space.
The original fireplace offers a cozy feeling in the colder and darker months.
The renovated bathroom has large marble-patterned tiles.
