A Renovated Swedish Apartment with a Pink Bathroom
This 1920s apartment in Stockholm was completely renovated a couple of years ago with a new kitchen and bathroom, and a new harmonious color palette on the walls. The 46-square-meter apartment now has a lovely social layout in the living room and kitchen, making hosting friends a delight.
The beige walls and herringbone parquet in the living room form a classic and calm base for the cozy living room. The apartment isn’t big, but it easily accommodates a sitting area, a dining table, and a decent-sized kitchen. For the ‘private’ rooms, the owners opted for more color. The bedroom is painted in a lovely blue shade, and the bathroom is designed to have a hotel look with pink wall tiles.
I love the calm and harmonious atmosphere in the apartment. The light colors, wooden furniture, and custom made storage furniture turns a small house into an inviting home.
The living room is painted in a calm beige shade that is paired with wooden furniture and a natural green sofa.
I prefer a round table in a smaller room as it feels less bulky.
The kitchen is located in its own niche in the living room, making it a social layout, but it isn’t too visible. The light gray cabinets are from Ikea and are paired with Jura limestone worktops.
Beautiful wall panels from when the apartment was built adorn the walls in the hall.
The bedroom is painted in a blue shade, adding a sense of calm. The room is fitted with custom wardrobes surrounding the double bed to maximize storage space in this small room.
storage niches have been added next to the bed.
The bathroom is maximally adapted to accommodate as much as possible and it is designed in a hotel style.
The pink tiles on the wall add a lovely color statement to the room and they are paired with classic black and white floor tiles. Both tiles are from Höganäs.
The sink and worktop are made of specially ordered concrete, with black drawers below and mirror cabinets on the wall above.
Inside the front door, you enter a hall with light green walls and built-in wardrobes that give a first, tidy impression.
