The Minimalistic Industrial Loft of Tumblr Founder David Karp

I recently came across this golden oldie and I wanted to share it here on my blog. As you know my blog started on Tumblr and the founder of this easy blogging platform – David Karp – has an amazing home.

Despite being a tech entrepreneur you really don’t find a lot of technology in his loft, on the contrary he seems more an analog person. But in David’s case minimalistic doesn’t mean big white spaces, the home is warm with lots of wood, exposed brick and industrial elements.

I love the raised wooden living area which clearly defines the living space without using walls or extra furniture. And that bathtub isn’t sitting inside a bathroom but it looks more like it’s on the upstairs landing which probably gives a nice view over his beautiful loft while soaking in the tub.

David’s home is cool and edgy and for me a perfect example of what an industrial loft should look like.
