William Morris Wallpaper in a Scandinavian Apartment

The owners of this apartment love wallpaper. William Morris wallpaper to be precise. Both bedrooms, the hallway, and the kitchen have been decorated in floral and leaf wallpaper that helps to create a cozy atmosphere.

The apartment is located in one of the finest historic buildings in Gothenburg. The building was constructed in the late 19th-century and three years ago, this 88 square meter apartment was renovated. During the renovation work, the turn of the century feeling was recreated with ceiling rosettes, brass details, William Morris wallpaper, and Victorian floor tiles.

The high ceilings and large windows create light and airy rooms that have been decorated in a muted color palette of grays and greens paired with an oak parquet floor.

The living room is light and airy with a ceiling rosette that shows the history of the home and white walls for a fresh look.

The master bedroom is connected to the living room through a pair of wooden doors.

The master bedroom is decorated in a muted color scheme using light earthy color shades. On the walls they added the William Morris ‘Chrysanthemum’ wallpaper.

Next to the kitchen lies the children’s bedroom which is decorated with a beautiful leaf wallpaper called ‘Willow Bough’ by William Morris.

Connected to this bedroom is a walk in closet and the first of two bathrooms so it can also work perfectly as the master bedroom.

The kitchen is located in the center of the apartment. The white cabinets paired with oak worktops, white subway tiles, and brass knobs give it a classic and timeless look.

There’s plenty of room for a large dining table in front of the window overlooking the courtyard. The walls in the dining area are decorated with the ‘Fruit’ wallpaper by William Morris.

The hallway has a classic look with black and white Victorian floor tiles and the William Morris ‘Pimpernel’ wallpaper on the walls.
