A Carefully Restored Georgian House in Bath
Bath is one of the prettiest historic cities in England. And because of its history and architecture, the spa town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In this gorgeous historic city stands the home I want to show you today. The early 19th century home is built in Georgian style. And recently renovated by two local architects.
The architects made sure that all historic elements of the house are restored and preserved. But there is also a nice combination with modern design, such as the new oak kitchen.
It’s not a big house. But with gorgeous rooms, two bedrooms and a large garden (which is pretty unique for a townhouse in the center of Bath) is a true dream home.
On the lower ground floor you find this living space with a sitting area and kitchen/dining room. The tiled floor is original to the house. And I’m obsessed with the terracotta pantry under the stairs.
A beautiful combination of old and new. The stone fireplace and floor are original to the house. But the kitchen is obviously a new addition, but it fits the room beautifully.
With plenty of storage cabinets in this room, the kitchen doesn’t need any upper cabinets. The oak fronts have a fluted for a nice design touch.

In the room adjoining the kitchen/living room do you find a vaulted dining room. The room has an original flagstone floor and natural light floods in from the skylight.
One stair up you reach the ground floor, with a bedroom and a tiny home office under the stairs.
The bedroom has restored timber floorboards and original wall panelling.
On the first floor you find this green Tadelakt bathroom with a tub and walk in shower.

There’s a large garden behind the house. And in that garden you’ll find this small garden studio.
