A Cozy Log House in Sweden
In a small village in the ski area near Sälen and Trysil in Sweden stands a beautiful newly built log house surrounded by peaceful nature. The 135 square meter log house features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a sauna.
Like a traditional log house, this Swedish example has beautiful solid wooden floors and walls and high-pitched ceilings, making the rooms feel spacious and warm at the same time.
The interiors of the log house are a beautiful blend of modern and traditional Scandinavian pieces. Like many Scandinavian homes, the house is not packed with furniture and decor. Instead, they decorated the home with carefully selected pieces in natural colors and dark wood.
Especially in the evening, the log house looks wonderfully cozy. With candles, subtle lighting, and warm wood, it’s the perfect room to stay in during the colder months. The warm interiors perfectly contrast the bright snowy landscape outside.
One wall of the open-plan living space is home to the traditional kitchen. The kitchen is made from IKEA cabinets and they used black fronts in combination with solid pine worktops.
The cabin is perfect for socializing, the large living space with pitched ceiling easily houses a large dining table.
For the decorations, the owners choose natural colors that you can also find in wood.
The spiral staircase leads you to the first floor where you can find two bedrooms.
The master bedroom is located on the ground floor. The wooden base is paired with gray and brown tones.
Both bathrooms are located on the ground floor. The first bathroom is fitted with gray tiles and black fittings.
The second bathroom features a sauna, which is common in Swedish houses.
Around the house is a wooden deck where you can enjoy the snowy landscape.
