A London Home with Green Color Accents
There are plenty of Victorian houses that have been given a contemporary update in London, and on The Nordroom, I love to share these historic properties. This Victorian house was extensively renovated in recent years pairing historic elements with modern fixes.
The three-bedroom house has beautiful period features like pine floors and doors, cornicing, and fireplaces, and these elements are paired with materials like terrazzo, terracotta, and quartz for a modern touch.
The late 19th-century house is decorated in a calm color palette spruced up with the occasional green accent. The blend of contemporary and historic and the raw materials like the wooden elements and brick walls turn this Victorian house into a cozy home.
The double living room is flooded with light that enters through a large tripartite bay window, fitted with the original sash windows. On the ceiling, you’ll find original cornicing and pine floorboards run underfoot.
Both rooms have the original cast iron stoves.
you’ll find a large kitchen and dining room at the back of the house. In this room, you can see the combination of materials perfectly. a modern navy blue kitchen is paired with a quartz worktop and terracotta tiles on the floor.
Some walls have the original brickwork exposed and painted in a neutral white shade.
The dining area is in front of the bay window, which also serves as a seating bench. The terrazzo tiles from the kitchen make way for a beautiful rustic wooden floor.
The hallway and staircase are painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Breakfast Room Green.’
The master bedroom is decorated in green shades and features a wall with built-in wardrobes.
The second bedroom features beautiful exposed brick walls that are painted in a calm cream shade.
The bathroom has a natural look with terracotta tiles in a hexagon shape and wall tiles from Mandarin Stone.
