A Stylish Small Loft with Beautiful Natural Light
I wasn’t sure what to call this: a small loft, a studio apartment, or just an open apartment, but because of the open layout, a sleeping nook in the sitting area, and the bigger floor plan than most studios, I’ve opted for a small loft.
Are you afraid that living in a studio apartment may look as if you’re living in a dorm room? This 44-square-meter apartment shows how living and sleeping in the same room can look stylish and very grown up.
The apartment was tastefully renovated and features a warm parquet floor, large windows that flood the home with warm natural light, and an open floor plan that provides clearly defined areas.
The home is blessed with a nook in the general living area that perfectly fits a double bed. The bedroom niche can be hidden from view simply by pulling the curtains so that during the day, you’re not living in the bedroom.
The simple wooden bedframe makes the sleeping area feel stylish and not too present.
The small loft is furnished with gorgeous Scandinavian design pieces, making the home look very sophisticated.
There are no doors between the areas, which is why I named this a small loft. On the right, you enter an area that is now used as a home office but could easily be a more private bedroom.
A glass pane has been fitted in the wall between the study and the kitchen to create a lighter kitchen area.
The bathroom is small and stylish, with gray and green tilework and plenty of storage in the upper cabinets.
Built-in floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the hallway provide plenty of storage.
