Cappelen Dimyr x Atelier Vime Rug Collection
Cappelen Dimyr has joined forces with the dynamic and enthusiastic duo from Atelier Vime in Vallabrègues, a charming town nestled in the scenic South of France. Led by Anthony Watson and Benoît Rauzy, Atelier Vime showcases an enchanting allure that seamlessly fuses modern touches with enduring beauty. Amidst the blossoming spring, they embarked on an adventure to France, capturing the essence of Atelier Vime’s timeless properties.
Having spent years amassing a collection of 20th-century wicker treasures, Anthony Watson and Benoît Rauzy embarked on a remarkable restoration journey within an 18th-century hôtel particulier, once a bustling wicker workshop.
This historic haven now serves as their creative sanctuary, where they bring to life captivating contemporary wicker and rattan furniture, all while curating an invaluable archive of vintage pieces. This visionary duo crafts original handmade creations, collaborating closely with local artisans, earning them a dedicated following within the design realm.
The Provencal ambiance was the ideal setting for this collection of luxurious rugs merging bohemian details, modern design, and craftsmanship.
They teamed up with photographer Mike Karlsson Lundgren. The ambition was to visualize how our products stand out and blend in – making them appear like they belong there.
Meticulously crafted with the modern home in focus, Cappelen Dimyr’s rugs effortlessly infuse a contemporary sense of warmth into any living space. Drawing inspiration from nature’s captivating elements and traditional craftsmanship spanning the globe, their thoughtfully curated palette of natural hues harmoniously combines with the utmost quality, resulting in an artful expression of organic imperfection.
Created solely from natural fibers and bearing the esteemed certifications of Good Weave Certification and Care & Fair, the rugs embody a commitment to sustainability and ethical production practices.
