A Charming Small Apartment with a Fresh White Kitchen
In a pretty 1930s building in Stockholm lies this charming one-bedroom apartment that the current owner has called home for nineteen years. You can see that the apartment was much-loved by the owner, the rooms are lovely, and a new kitchen was installed recently.
The apartment has a spacious hall with the living room on one side, facing the courtyard, and the kitchen and bedroom on the other side. The wooden floors, herringbone parquet, mirrored doors, and windows with deep niches are all original from the 1930s, creating a lovely historical touch to the interior spaces.

The living room is a charming space with the original oak herringbone floor and walls painted in an off-white shade, creating a neutral yet warm atmosphere.
The furnishings are a lovely blend of old and new. A contemporary gray sofa with colorful accents is paired with an antique lamp and a vintage cabinet.
The apartment is small, and there is no space for a wardrobe in the bedroom, so the owner fitted one wall in the living room with wardrobes and mirror sliding doors. It provides a lot of storage space while also making the living room feel larger and lighter, thanks to the mirror doors.
The kitchen was renovated a couple of years ago and it is now a fresh white space with room for a tiny bistro table.
The (original) wooden floorboards, tiled walls, and kitchen cabinets are all white. This is paired with brass fittings and a gray-green wall painted in ‘Tant Johannas gröna’ by Nordsjö.
A glass door with a brass knob gives access to the small bedroom. Thanks to the glass door, natural light also flows into the kitchen.
The small bedroom has enough room for a double bed and a nightstand. The floorboards are painted white, and the walls are painted in Kalk by Alcro.
The apartment is small, but it has a very spacious hall with the original herringbone parquet floor. The walls are painted in ‘Evening Sky’ by Jotun, accentuating the white molding.
The tiny bathroom is designed in a classic black-and-white color scheme and features a Danish-designed sink.
