Color & Wallpaper in a Victorian Villa
The house I will show you today has pretty much everything I love in a home. It has original features, vibrant wallpapers, ánd the owners didn’t shy away from color.
The villa in London is unique, because it was built at the end of the Georgian era and the beginning of Queen Victoria’s reign. This means that the villa has both Georgian and Victorian features.
From the outside the home is a beauty, with chalk-white rendering, French windows, and an impressive Georgian doorway. And indoors it only gets better!
I’m starting in the kitchen/dining room because I love the pink “Artemis” wallpaper by House of Hackney.
The green kitchen cabinets are custom-made for this kitchen. The pink hue on the walls is ‘Desert Rose’ by Paper & Paint Library.
The serene sitting room with cast iron fireplace has a (colorful) surprise: a second sitting room!
The second sitting room/snug/play room is painted in Farrow & Ball’s “Brinjal”. A deep and warm burgundy color.
The powder room has the “Gershwing Parakeet” wallpaper by Divine Savages.
The master bedroom with “Zeus” House of Hackney wallpaper and built-in wardrobes.
This bedroom (with en-suite bathroom) is painted in ‘Stoney Ground’ by Farrow & Ball.
This gorgeous Victorian home is currently for sale at Inigo.
