A Small Dark Green Classic English deVOL Kitchen

If you’re looking for small but stylish kitchen inspiration then you should stay a little longer on this page. British kitchen company deVOL have created a classic kitchen in an apartment in Notting Hill, London.

The kitchen is forty square foot big/small, but despite its moderate size deVOL has created a kitchen that looks as luxurious ánd functional as any kitchen twice this size.

They choose to design the kitchen with their Classic English cabinets which have been handmade to fit this small kitchen space. Instead of opting for a light color like you’re inclined to do in a small space, they painted the walls and cabinets in a dark green shade which gives this kitchen and extra wow factor.

They could add this deep green shade since the kitchen window adds plenty of natural light to the room.

Instead of wall cabinets, they placed a shelf above the kitchen worktop. Since the kitchen is small, its best to add a shelf instead of cabinets so it doesn’t bulk up the room. The worktop and shelf are made of Arabescato marble.

The deVOL taps and shelf brackets are made of aged brass.

On the other side of the galley kitchen stands a stainles steel Bertazzoni cooker with matching extractor. It shows that you can mix and match different metals.

The entire kitchen is painted in a deep dark green shade, with the exception of the ceiling. The ceiling is painted white to create the feeling of more volume in this small room.

This small deVOL kitchen shows that you can go bold in a small space. The Classic English kitchen cabinets, brass fittings, Arabescato marble, and rustic wooden floorboards create a cozy room filled with character.
