IKEA’s New Product Launch Embraces Sustainability and Slow Living

While some people might have jumped in the air when the temperatures in Europe reached 20 degrees celcius in mid february. I was less enthousiastic about these summer temperatures in the middle of winter and it got me thinking about our planet’s future.

So I’m glad to see that major companies like IKEA have the the future of our planet in mind. This week IKEA showed its product launch for april and it’s full with consious material choices and it embraces the concept of slow living where consideration for nature and well-being lays the foundation for a more sustainable life at home.

And I can only be enthousiastic about it, not only are the products gorgeous but they’re also better for the enviroment. Climate change is daunting and in my opinion the big industrial companies that have to step up and make a change.

But change starts with yourself so it’s good to think about how you can be more sustainable f.e. by using less plastic, or stop shopping at fast fashion stores. Or by buying sustainably home products like some of these from IKEA.
