Recycled Materials in A Colorful Architectural Home in Melbourne
I’m not done yet with sustainable design after yesterday’s post, so today I’ll show you this beautiful Melbourne home that used a lot of recycled materials.
The home in the former King’s Arms Hotel is designed by ioa studio and all through the home they re-used old materials. For example the kitchen island is made of old floor boards and the ceiling beams used to be a garden fence.
Apart from the recycled materials that I approve of this home is an absolute beauty. I love the colorful touches and how they showed the raw bones of the building. And for me the absolute eye-catching feature is that beautifully curved plywood ceiling.
I love how they incoperated those curves in other rooms as well which gives the home a soft touch next to all the raw materials that they used.
